  2. This is soo beautiful.. as some one who has never seen or experienced snow, just looking at this shot, makes me feel like it must be sooo magical….

    • Thanks, Sabrina. The first snowfall of the year feels magical even to those of us who soon begin complaining about the shoveling and the wet boots and the sliding cars. I couldn’t wait for it to stop falling before I was out in it.

  3. Paul it’s like you have a magic filter on your camera that makes your photos so charming. 🙂

    • Elina, I’m so glad you commented, because I’ve just discovered your lovely photographs. I like your eye.

And I think I really do have a magic filter—what I see emerging from my lens always surprises me, too.

    • My very first photo of the snowfall. I love it when that happens.

  5. It’s not what you put in, but what you leave out. This is a beautiful shot. Your use of depth of field is excellent.

    • Very kind of you, Ben. I’m a big-aperture tramp.

Just went to your site–it seems it’s been a while, because I was wowed by your last three. I like the windows, too.

  8. Absolutely delightful, Paul! Makes me smile, despite the fact that we will be shoveling again today!

  9. Wonderful photo. It makes me want to run outside and… Oh, wait. I moved from Utah to Florida… 🙂 Sometimes I do miss the snow, and this photo triggered that feeling again.

    • By day two of the snow, I was thinking about a weekend in the Southwest. This morning the really big flakes are coming down. OK, yeah, it looks like a fairy tale out there.
