I went back in the house to get my camera as I was leaving for work yesterday, remembering that every evening on my way home the sunset is striking my friend Brian’s orange-turning tree (it’s a different orange everyday), but by the time I get home, fetch my camera, and get back to Brian’s the light is gone. So with camera at hand on the way to work, everything I passed became an opportunity. I love the way the ornamental grasses in the midground become stacks of gold coins when backlit at f1.4.
